This information will more helpful for starters. I also use Twitter for 1 year and I have much experience about Twitter marketing and hashtag use. I use an amazing tool named Hashtag tracking. It helps me to get trending and popular hashtags. I can literally recommend it to anyone without any doubt.

Hi Alan,
I agree, it is annoying you can’t edit your tweets! I believe one of the reasons is so people can’t change the meaning of their tweet (for example, they get a lot of likes and RTs on a tweet and then change the meaning to something negative). I have heard some people suggest it would be good if you were given a short time frame to edit a tweet so you can fix typos (e.g. 1 minute after posting). I think this is a good idea.

I personally love how Twitter provides support for solo teachers like me that don’t have other teachers in my building teaching the same subject as me!

For science teachers looking for some specific twitter info, I created a guide (that also links to this guide!) that is specifically for SCIENCE TEACHERS here: http://www.mrsharristeaches.com/2019/06/my-guide-to-twitter-for-science-teachers-aka-free-online-professional-development-for-teachers/

Hi Matt,
Unfortunately, you can’t ensure tweets are ‘sent’ to members of your lists. You just put it out there and if they see it, they see it! It’s like a lot of social media platforms in that way. Unless you’re talking about direct messages?
Lists are more for following groups of people rather than sending them content.
Thanks!
Kathleen

I want to send the same tweet, simultaneously, to members on various of my lists. None contains more than 36 names. How do I do it? Please show examples of hos the tweet address, etc., is set up. Thanks.

Hi Barbara,
So glad it helped! It was a real team effort to put this together and I think Sue and I both learnt a few things from each other as well. Well done for getting through such a long post too! 🙂

Thank you, thank you, for all the work you put into this. I learned even more about Twitter, and now know how I can utilize TweetDeck so much better, especially the scheduling feature.

So glad this was helpful for you, Erica! Good question about emojis. I can’t remember when Twitter didn’t have emojis so I feel like it has been a few years. But I might be wrong too. Someone else might be able to fill us in! 🙂

Kathleen,

Thank you for providing more sources for using twitter in the classroom. Twitter can really start great learning opportunities in the classroom.
